This is a gorgeous Copal specimen (sometimes also referred to as “Copal Amber”).  One side of this piece has a scenic pattern that resembles underwater plant life. Very beautiful and unique. Copal and Amber share a common origin (tree resin), but Amber is an ancient resin that has fossilized over many millions of years, and Copal is a much younger resin (less than a million years old) in an early phase of the fossilization process. Metaphysically, Copal is both a meditation aid and a cleanser of negative energy.
